Many of us celebrated NYE's along with our rocker friends watching live bands and dancing rock 'n' roll. The year 2023 was a very good year for our 1950's style rock 'n' roll community. Venues and promoters once again were hiring bands and staging dances on a weekly basis without any restrictions after what we went through with Covid. Many of us also attended music festivals, classic car shows, dance classes & competitions.

Several venues staged final year end dances in the couple of weeks leading to NYE's celebrations. In Melbourne, Triple R celebrated NYE's with a dance at the Whitehorse Club in Burwood. Rockers danced to the Atomic Hi Tones to bring in the new year. There were also NYE's dances in Geelong and Ballarat that I know of.

Kingpins Kustoms, as in previous years, also staged its final NYE's car show and provided live bands - Kid James & Kieron Mcdonald Combo, at the Stamford Hotel.

Let's make 2024 another great year for rock 'n' roll live music and dancing. Keep supporting the venues and promoters and keep dancin'!
