Here’s a clip of English busker sensation, Si Cranstoun who performed over 3 nights at the Coolangatta Hotel to very appreciative crowds of punters during the ‘Cooly Rocks On’ festival.
Even though there were a lot of hard core rockabilly heads that were boppin’ away to this cat ... for mine … the organisers slotted him in the wrong venue. He should have played and slayed thousands at Twin Towns or Seagulls instead of hundreds at rockabilly headquarters.
This guy is talent personified. He writes clever and catchy songs that he performs with a sweet and golden voice. He has the ability to mesmerise his audience, especially when you experience him for the first time.
Si Cranstoun delivers his jump-rock-swing in a Jackie Wilson soul style with a hint of ska. Check out his other clips on YouTube. Very danceable indeed … Enjoy.

Good clip, Jazza. Si Cranstoun's rockin & swingin tunes would certainly appeal to the dancing crowd in the larger venues. Pity he's not touring down south to Melbourne.
Thanx Jitz. Si Cranstoun was only millimetres away from playing Melbourne. The Whitehorse Club was one of the venues. A few eleventh-hour hiccups prevented it. I suppose he can treat this Oz trip as recon for next time. Promoters can now see Si Cranstoun’s pulling power and slot him in the correct venues.
