Kick Mic

I know theres about 4000 drummers out there that have a decent Kick Mic they don't use any more! If this is you Msg me as I'm after a Half decent Kick Drum Mic.. Cheers

Hey Boomer,
A good kick drum mic is expensive...Unless you are prepared to spend a tidy sum to get a good one it is not worth the effort as the cheap ones don't do the job.

For live performances, the reliable old SM58 still does the job by just pulling out most of the middles.

Kick drum mic- Beyer M88 is just about an industry standard and is a great smooth sounding mic for vocals too, but the Shure SM57 or SM58 will do the job. If you want to lash out a bit more, go for a Shure beta 91 plate mic, but it needs phantom power from your mixer- just throw it in your kick and it sounds great. I've used all of them on gigs mixing various bands. Ring Factory Sound in Sth. Melb for good prices.
