    Benifet For Madison Bartlett

In the community spirit the Immortals Motor Bike Club & the Hurstbridge Police Station have united forces toward raising money for a very special girl Madison Bartlett

Countless stories of sorrow and survival have come from the Black Saturday fires, but few could be more poignant than that of 12 year old Madison Bartlett.

She is still in Royal Children’s hospital with burns to 50 percent of her body and will remain in there for some time to come.

She is still in Royal Children’s hospital with burns to 50 percent of her body and will remain in there for some time to come.
When the flames roared towards the Bartlett's St Andrews home on February 7, Jacinta and Gary Bartlett were with Madison and two friends visiting from Queensland. Erin the younger sister was somewhere around the house but no one could find her. With only moments to act, Jacinta and Gary told their friends to take Madison to the dam while they kept looking for Erin. That was the last time Madison saw her family. She took refuge under a wet blanket as the flames passed over. She survived, but with terrible burns that would leave her in intensive care for weeks. Madison is the sole survivor of her family, upon her release from hospital Madison will be cared for by her Grandparents who are in their 70’s. The two policemen who found Madison were so touched by Madison they have set up a foundation
    MADISON BARTLETT FOUNDATION.
I along with Immortals Bing and Sean have spoken with Gary Tickell from Hurstbridge Police Station; a cheque will be presented to Gary at the end of the Immortals Bushfire Bash 25th April 2009.
To the bands who have donated their time for this fundraiser an HUGE thank you. You have all done so much already for the may Appeals in our hotels and Dances. I look forward to sharing yet another night of Community Spirit. A special thank you to Straight 8 guys for supporting Red Rivers on the night, I know your time is valuable and yet you never hesitate to support when asked.
To the Community of Vicrock I hope you will support this event and help Madison on her long journey of countless skin crafts and emotional recovery ahead. God Bless this sweet child in her Journey
    Chrissie

I do believe volunteer firemen found Madison and took her to safety - good luck to Madison and family and I hope the benefit goes well.

I was personally involved in this tragedy, and would like to point out, that it was Warrandyte DSE fire crews who found Madison, along with members from Kinglake CFA.
The hurstbridge police transported Madison to the hospital, when it was safe to enter the fire zone. All these people including doctors and nurses at the hospital, have all played a big part in saving this young girls life. These are just normal everyday people, who were confronted with this exteme event, and have to live, and deal with this, for the rest of their lives.
On the bright side, I have been informed Madison was out of intensive care, and progressing. Wishing Maddy, and her family all the best for the future. Good luck with the fundraiser.
