    Meltdown pics and Thankyous

A mega, monster, massive thankyou to everyone for turning up to the weekend to enjoy the mega, monster, massive Meltdown. We just love all this stuff and are glad so many of you do to.

Much credit to the bands, the music lovers, car owners, helpers, hotel staff & management, stall holders and everyone who was there for whatever reason. Together it happens, divided it doesn't, so well done guys and gals, kats, kittens, rockers, rodders and everyone.

An extra special thankyou and mention to
Jazz our partner in crime and our resident, spiritual music director and advisor who has been supporting Melbourne bands since before he, Artie (Atomic Hi-Tones) and Lyndon(Shadoogie) were in a band together as 14 year olds and been a HotRodder since he can remember.
    Mr Koooool Gerhard who MCed.
Con, Sue Purple, RobE, Clarkie, Brett from Bendigo, Noel, Jackie, Ronda and Katia for your carpark or door assistance,
Soundman Bruce whos bark is worse than his bite, but never lets you down, He's there from sun up to sundown.
Retro Rockets, Atomic Hi-Tones aka Rockin Daddys, Blackhill Ramblers, Detonators, Flyin Saucers, Lowriders, Lous King & The Liars Klub and Rockabillity aka Firebird. - Bona Fide Rock Stars, awesome, fantastic, and so deserving of mainstream recognition.

The day was a hoot, the weather hung in there just and apart from some dramas and confusion with seating and prizes, the day ran pretty smooth.

There were people from every state and people who have never been exposed to Rockabilly music before who went out of their way to tell us girls on the door how impressed they were. Always nice to hear some nice words and a great compliment for the bands who produce the goods.

Who said there was no rockabilly scene in Melbourne.

There's not much to be said after Sunday's meltdown except....THANKYOU!!

The day speaks for itself (as always) and I just think Melbourne is so lucky to have dedicated and selfless promoters like the Jollies who do all this work for the love of the music.

It harks back to the good old days when everything really was 'all for the love of the music'.

    Keep it up guys!
