Combined rock and roll clubs in Gippsland - Hooked On Rock, Lakeside Rockers, S`Coolhouse Rock and Latrobe Rockers are holding a Charity Fundraiser for the Heart Foundation. Last year they raised money for cancer research and because the dance was so successful they decided to hold another. I don`t know if you have ever been to the Sale Memorial Hall but it`s a great big hall used by rockers in the 50s & 60s. The hall has been the home to the Lakeside Rockers since 1996. The clubs will go to a lot of effort to decorate the hall and this years theme will be red &white with a touch of blue ( for the blue bloods). Johnny Stingray & the Wanderer`s will be the band on the night. This band plays rock and roll the way it should be played and plays a lot of the rock & roll classics. Should be a great night of dancing with a friendly bunch of people. The four clubs have donated hampers for raffle prizes. Sale is only two hours from Melbourne with lots to see on the way. And nothing better than country hospitality ......
