Who was that Cat Lingered Longa
The Hall was thumping when we arrived (as per usual a little late) & there was plenty of action, approx 250 is my guess, filled the Yarrawonga town hall and there was plenty of rockin' going on."Who was that Cat" had that sound pumping which just makes your feet need to DANCE, the floor was packed with rockers with that same old feeling Dance dance dance.
The streets of Yarrawonga echoed to the sounds of the double base, and the fantastic music from the 50s, Bill Haley although not in person, came alive last night, the rockers loved it, I don't think that hall has seen so much action for many years, & It's probably still trembling & vibrating down to the foundations.
The floor was totally jamb packed all night. It was a Rockin' good time well & truly worth the effort of a long drive & a small price to pay, for some of that calorie consuming exercise.
Rockers from Bendigo Shep Albury Cobram Wang Benalla Melb & a notable icon of rock'n'roll "Little Maria" to name a few, converged on Yarrawonga for the inaugural "Linga Longer's" First Dance & what a Dance complete with all the trimmings, right out of the Fifties.
Like days of the 50s the supper or should I say feast, (some ladies had been very busy), was exceptional, the food might I say was extravagant. My Chick & I missed out on dinner so the supper was a god send.
I am sure everybody had a rockin"
good time I know we did, thanks to Linga Longer Rockers, hope the hall survives!

Now to the caterers the supper or should I say buffet was fan-B****Y- tastic, sorry we couldn't eat it all.
