Friday night we ventured over to the Alley Cats dance in Sunshine and listened to the fantastic Rockin Daddys. Then Saturday night back to Sunshine (different venue) and saw the great Speedsters at Chris and Hildas dance. Both nights were backed up by DJ Jeff who never fails to deliver.
I think its a treat that you can go out and watch two really good bands who have differing styles yet you can rock n roll all night and have a great time.
It was also great to see a couple of faces with whom I had not caught up with for some time - really made both nights special. Well done to the bands, DJ and the organisers of both dances.
footnote: a current injury has me sitting on the bench and the last couple of nights just sitting back and watching/listening has reminded me just how hard these bands work - well done guys.
