Honey B & the Stingers - Little Maria's Dance

Little Maria held her pre - New Year's Eve rock & roll dance last night. As usual for special theme nights, she puts in the extra work with decorations, lollies & snacks and party crackers to spice up the atmosphere so those coming to celebrate New Year's Eve a night earlier would certainly not leave feeling disappointed.

And providing music that one could rock & roll all night long was Honey B & the Stingers. I haven't seen the band performing live on stage for quite a while so it was refreshing to hear & enjoy their rendition of many of my favourite songs from the 1950's & 60's era. And the very lovely Lyndal came dressed for the occasion - as a "stinger". I was also fortunate to watch in action for the first time their new addition to the line up - Andy Free who plays the sax and also on vocals.

There was filming of rock & roll dancing last night for a dance documentary being made. I 'm sure some of you would be keen to check out your dancing when the video is finally released.

All in all, a very enjoyable night of rock & roll music and dancing at Little Maria's. See sample of videos below - enjoy .......

Happy new year Jitts. Yeh I'm into honey "B" my last couple of visits to them have been a ball. It was just a bit of a drag for us to do the Lt Maria thing this time, had a house full of relies so couldn't move.Great vids mate! Lt Maria would be in her element eh. How about it Lt Maria!!

I've not seen this band - being a country bumpkin - but after seeing the vids Jitts I'll make sure that I see them this year, The gods being willing of course.

And while I'm here, Happy New Year to all you folk who still enjoy the music and dancing that I enjoyed fifty years ago when my parents said the it was just a fad and will never last.

Do I have news for them??
