Parkes Elvis Festival has been running for 28 years and today is still going strong and remains very popular with the locals and visitors and especially so for the regulars who go to Parkes year in, year out. The Summer Rocknroll Festival in Geelong organised by the Geelong Jukebox Rockers was held over 3 days with dances on Friday night with the Fender Benders and on Saturday night with the Smokin' Wingtips. At a time when several venues have closed their doors, the Dandenong Workers Club continues to provide quality live rock n roll bands and dancing every Friday night. The band, Juke Box Racket, has announced that they will now not be busking in the city on Swanston Street tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, 30th November). The weather forecast is shower for tomorrow so I assume it would not be safe to play in the open.

The invitation to take part in dancing on Swanston is therefore cancelled. Sorry for the late announcement.
