Just wanted to pass on a "BIG THANKEE" to all involved in organising the Rockabilly Tidalwave at the Whitehorse Club last night. From the moment Itchy Fingers hit the stage until the night wrapped up with the 8s, the rockin feel-good tunes just kept rolling in. Pat Capocci Combo also enticed the throng and Clinton Barker (aka Sothern Streamliners) - backed up by the boys from Itchy Fingers - was full-throttle energy.
The available dance partners (ADPs) may have been a bit "light on", but I enjoyed myself finally mastering the "Rockabilly Strut" (Although still not able to look "cool" while I'm doing it...that probably takes years)...and when the ADPs were otherwise engaged (let's face it...the world's your oyster at gigs these days guys....enjoy!!)...well the music was so great I just had to do a bit of "shimmy shimmy" with the other gals on the sidelines. Can't beat that thumping bass and growling guitar.
Oh and DJ Dingo....fantastic spinning in between sets! I wish I'd stopped and asked what it was...luurrved it!
Great to see some beautiful rods out front...some people may have had a damp ride home though, methinks (Melbourne!)
Good to catch up with some faces I hadn't seen for a while too...
Cheers
Ms M
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass....it's about learning to dance in the rain.
Well... MsM, It was just dandy to see you Gal...
You have summed that up pretty damn "spot on"!!!
It was a top night with top music that doesn't happen
without all the good effort & lots of organizing by the
guys that know there "RockaBilly" music.
Great to see lots of new & OLD faces there also,
considering there was so much happening around town.
It go's to show the people will still go to a well organized show
whatever the weather.
I reckon Jamie plays the bestest music too..(yay)
Well done to all involved

Re: Flood of great music at the Tidalwave
Snappy and myself would just like to thank all the punters who came along, and all the cars and bikes that made an appearance, without the crowd it doesn't happen either, all the more reason to do it all again.
Personally A BIG THANKS goes to the following,
Snappy and the beautiful Rose,George for getting thrown in the deep end with our new P.A system, Snappy's daughter and friends for doing a fantastic job on the door, Christine from Vivianne of Holloway, me best mate Rob and Kyles, Jamie "Dingo" Suppa for organising the Boys from N.S.W and spinning the discs, also Pat Capocci,Ezra Lee, John (Bass) and Tim (drums) these guys are some great talent in the rockabilly music from Interstate,
well done to Clinton Barker on his debut (The Southern Streamliners) Little Sonyta sounding fantastic, Damian,Victor,Dave,Ray awsome as usual.
last but not least my RED HOT WIFE MICHELLE! for organising all the seating and bookings and printing and putting up with me spending more time working on top of everything else! xxxx
