Hellfire depicts the life and times of Jerry Lee Lewis , the rock star and musical genius who along with Elvis opened the rock and roll door for so many artists. But seldom are we told the real story of Jerry Lee Lewis , and his upbringing in one of America’s most influential religious families. His double first cousin was Jimmy Lee Swaggart and Jerry was an ordained preacher at 16 years of age. Hellfire shows the torment Jerry went through believing on one hand that he was singing the music of the devil but on the other loving both his life as a rock star and his great love of Louisiana boogie woogie or as Jerry played it ROCK AND ROLL.
If you have a love of the music from the 50’s, 60’s, Elvis, Chuck Berry and Hank Williams then you will love this show. Andrew King is a great pianist and his Boogie Woogie style helps him portray Jerry the tormented genius.
So please book early if you wish to avoid being disappointed .Tickets at $20 or $17 concession. Matinee Oct 10 at 2pm evening show at 8pm on Friday October 2nd and Saturday October 10th. Jubilee Hall 2 Balmoral St Frankston. (Note the poster shows Friday the 9th which is wrong!!)

A message from Allen Wild:
"GOD moves in mysterious ways. After looking for a suitable Church to stage the new production Hellfire, the story of Jerry Lee Lewis, Director Hugh Haliday and I found a church in Frankston. Some will puzzle at the choice of a church but Jerry Lee Lewis was a man tormented all his life by the conflict between his Faith and his music. Quite simply, the church condemned his music as the work of the Devil. Jerry firmly believed he would go to Hell.
We found a perfect venue with great acoustics and fine seating and booked for Oct 9 and 10. HOWEVER we have now been informed that the vicar double booked the church for Oct 9 and we have had to cancel that performance and the Friday night production will now take place on Oct 2."
