    Re: Goulburn ASRF.Atomic Ramblers

Its serious roddin when you venture to the ASRF Nationals, so being the entertainment means satisfying and catering to a very mixed crowd.
But the Ramblers and the Atomics did it.
    You guys rock.
The bands performed outside, inside and upside down. Their last gig was at the awards dinner which was a sea of heads, the trophies stunning and the crowd there in anticipation of some recognition of the effort invested in their cars, so to hear the appreciation shown to the bands is a feather in the cap of the two bands.

The weekend's weather started on shaky ground with some hints of rain, but all clouds disappeared by the big Sunday at the showgrounds.

Well done to the BLACKHILL RAMBLERS and the ATOMIC HI-TONES

Both bands put in a huge weekend with mutiple set ups of PAs' a lot of performing and around 20hours on the road as well which is draining, so I am sure they were pretty tired by Monday night. I haven't recovered yet.

Hi to my new mate Nick from Shannons Insurance who has the best job in Australia and big thanks to Bob and Mark from the Goulburn ASRF organisers for your efforts.
It was a huge event with all sorts of activities including drags, cruises, art shows and demonstrations, so getting the logistics right was a military operation.

    PS.
I found out from John from the Ramblers that he makes fancy guitar straps and works with leather for a living, so if you know anyone wanting a beautiful guitar strap for themselves or a gift for a guitarist, John's the man.

    Re: Goulburn ASRF.Atomic Ramblers

Congratulations Atomic Hi-Tones & Blackhill Ramblers. Glad to see that the organisers of Australia’s biggest Hot Rod event chose two of Australia’s top rock bands to entertain the masses. Not only Melbourne based … but ‘Rockin the Gully’ regulars. Kinda makes me proud.
Many reports back from the Street Rod nationals in Goulburn regarding the live music entertainment are all super-positive. It’s the second Rod Nationals for the Hi-Tones. This bi-annual event moves around Australia and is never staged in the same city more than twice in a row.
The 2011 nats will be held here in Geelong.
Live & let Live, Love & let Love, Rock & let Roll, plus related clichés.
