40's to 60's Culture Shockwave - New Car Raffle

Hi Rockers & Rockettes.
The 40's - 60's Culture Shockwave is up and running.
Last Monday I won a Hyundai Hi Lo Van worth $33,000 and am putting up as
a raffle prize to get the project going.

Many people are asking me what it is about and I guess I have been explaining bits and pieces to so many people that I am assuming everyone knows what I am talking about.
So it must sound quite confusing to just about everyone except me.
I will be publishing a full presentation of the project hopefully by the end of
January but briefly the aim of the Culture Shockwave is to keep the Music the clothes the dancing the cars and the memories alive for many generations to come and at the same time raise funds for Charities such as Plan International, Doctors without Borders, The salvos and local schools around the world.

The aim of the project is to create a weekly buildup of news, events and information
around the world over an 8 month period culminating in 8 international fundraisers
over 8 weeks. Each of these weekly fundraisers will have a forties to sixties theme.

We also want to employ young teachers to teach the culture in schools for free.
I know it sounds ambitious but the internet can disseminate the information around the world and all it takes is for every person who loves those times, every dance teacher, venue, musician, vintage retailer, custom classic or Rod car club, tattoo parlors, classic film buff, record collector etc etc etc. to join in and we have a huge number of people ready to kick this off.

The Raffle money from the Van will help in the setting up of the non profit organisation we need to set up to get this running.
This organisation will also be promoting a day to remember the friends of
Rock 'n' Roll.

If you don't want to see the culture slowly disappear to Hip Hop, Rap, Techno etc then we need to create a craze as big as the Line dancing craze.
The difference is that when this hits their are so many aspects which can appeal to
so many people that it should stick and keep on expanding.
You don't have to like the music to like the clothes.
You can dress rough or elegant.
You don't have to like the clothes to like the cars.
Even kids who like punk can become interested in Psychobilly.
The culture appeals to all styles, all tastes because in each era there were
all styles and all tastes.
We just need to make it relevant, popular and interesting.
