The Prairie Oysters on Foxtel Thursday 1st May @ 8pm

The Prairie Oysters have recorded three video clips which will be air over coming weeks on Country Crossroads which is broadcast right across the country on the Aurora Channel (183). Country Crossroads is a show dedicated to supporting country music and independent artists. The team, headed up by Rob Foenander are are dedicated in their support for Australian country music acts and we're absolutely delighted to be a part of the line up. We will certainly be regular viewers of the show and we highly recommend it being part of your viewing habits if you have Foxtel.

When The Dust Settles will be broadcast on Thursday 1st May along with an interview with the guys. Check out the Country Crossroads website at www.countrycrossroads.com.au where you can see a promo of the show and previews of upcoming

The Prairie Oysters will be featured on Charles Wooley Across Australia on Thursday 1st May @ 11.30am

Across Australia covers life in all parts of the country, throwing the limelight on important issues that people in regional and rural life face as well as supporting and covering the major events for the people who live outside Australia's overcrowded capital cities. The program is hosted by former 60 minutes reporter Charles Wooley and is syndicated to 98 commercial stations around Australia.

When The Dust Settles will be featured on the Esthers Events segment which is presented by Charles' producer Esther Woodhams. Esthers Events looks at the top six major gigs in and around the heartland of Australia. Esther will be speaking to Tony about When The Dust Settles, Rain Dances and the upcoming gig at Smeaton on May 10th.

Tony will be chatting to Esther at 11.30 on Thursday May 1st. For those of you living in the regions, be sure to tune in to your local Macquarie Radio Station.

Aussie Helpers commission Prairie Oysters single

You may already be aware that proceeds from sales of When The Dust Settles will go to Aussie Helpers. Two weeks ago, the song was commissioned by Aussie Helpers to be used as part of their awareness campaign that deals with the human cost of the drought.

Brian Egan, the founder of Aussie Helpers has been publicly speaking to promote Aussie Helpers at many functions, institutions and events. The response of his heart wrenching story and the unique ordinary bloke presentation has bought an audience of 1000 people to tears, followed by some laughter. but more importantly resulting in genuine empathy for the struggles of the people in the bush.

Brian prefers to be out there visiting farmers and lending an ear, doing what Aussie Helper is about, but he also knows how important it is for urban dwellers to understand the hardships of fellow Australian's. The publicity has, and continues to raise much needed awareness and funds, but it has also resulted in an increased number of families seeking the assistance of Aussie Helpers. As all the money donated to Aussie Helpers is used to purchase fodder, food and toiletries. By arrangement between Aussie Helpers and The Prairie Oysters, audiences around Australia are given an information pack which will include among other things the When The Dust Settles CD. The Prairie Oysters are proud to contribute the song to raise awareness of Aussie Helpers and the issue of depression which is taking its toll across the country.
