Who am I?
My name is Philippa Hunt and I am 28 years old. I have been dancing Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly for 15 years, both in WA and throughout Australia. I have competed extensively across the country with great success and in 2013 I decided to gain my formal teaching qualifications in the fields of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly Dance, under the guidance of the greatly qualified and highly regarded Marcia Summers of Summerswing dance Studio.
It is here I have found my true passion. Although I love to teach the art of dance to all levels, my true love is teaching those who wish to take their dance to new heights with advanced footwork, technique and competition training.
I have recently re-located to Melbourne Victoria, and offer dance tuition throughout this region.
What Can I offer you?
If you currently dance Rock n Roll but would like to add some intricate footwork and flair to your repertoire, or enter the world of competition dancing, then I can help you.
I offer private and small group lessons by appointment only. Areas that are targeted during lessons include:
- The technique of correct leads and transitions
- Kick Step & Flick Step footwork
- Dancing as a partnership
- An introduction to competition dance
- Routine Choreography
- Props, drops and slides
Please note: I ONLY offer private lessons. I can however accommodate small groups of up to three couples. Pricing as follows:
Private lessons at my home (One Couple)
- First hour $50
- Additional time $15 per 1/2 hr
Up to 3 couple can share a private lesson. The fee is $20 per additional couple per hour
(ie. 2 couples for 1 hour is $70 and additional time is $25 per 1/2 hr)
Private lessons at your home (within 30km radius of 3180)
- First Hour $60
- Additional time $15 per 1/2 hour
Again, up to 3 couple can share a private lesson. The fee is $20 per additional couple per hour (ie. 2 couples for 1 hour is $80 and additional time is $25 per 1/2 hr)
