We regret to announce that Lee and Yorkie have decided to leave The Prairie Oysters at the end of 2010.
Family commitments and other interests were the individual reasons they gave to us and that they wanted a break from music for a while. It's sad but we respect their decisions. Needless to say, it came as a shock to the rest of us given that we were all celebrating the success of our recent CD launch at the time. We are greatly surprised at the news. No doubt, many of you will share our point of view.
But we must move on and we want to let you know that The Prairie Oysters will continue doing what we do and we hope that you will continue to stick with us. We promise to keep you dancing and smiling into 2011 and beyond. We are now working towards rebuilding the band and doing what we love doing.
Cheers
Tony

The band was put together by Rob Street actually... He asked Yorkie if he was keen and then he asked me. Over the years the running of the band became a shared thing but in actual fact, no it was Rob's original idea.
