That truly is sad news, and a great loss to the Melbourne Rock n Roll Scene. I can remember visiting Ivan at his home, he was always a happy chappy, and always willing to help anyone out at any time. He set me up with my first Lap-Top many years ago, and always such a gentleman... My sincerest condolences go out to Ivan's family and those who knew and loved him. Such a sad loss, a true gentleman and a very talented musician...

Shocked to read of Ivan's passing. He would always say hello and looked like he really enjoyed playing with Honey Bee and the Stingers. I will miss him. Condolences to his family and friends. Steve

    Re: Ivan Troha

What a shocking and tragic loss to us all.

Having known Ivan and his brothers since we were all at Noble Park Tech School during the early sixties, I feel very fortunate to have also had the pleasure of his company and friendship as a very fine musician and accomplished composer and arranger as the years passed by.

What I would give to have more people like Ivan in our lives and of course, in our world of music that he loved with a passion.

As Gordon aptly put it “he was a true Gentlemen in every sense of the word” and will be sadly missed.

Our condolences to his family and friends and may you rest in peace Ivan.

Such sad news. He seemed to be a lovely person and so good on the sax.
