Just got in from Micawber Fender Benders were great tonight. Tight, solid and a very danceable choice of songs.....loved the version of dead flowers...well done James Terry and Fred.
coudnt agree with you more there straycats!my sunday stared with a cruise up into the dandenong hills, from montrose around to the mcawber,with lunch at a nice shaded cafe(beautiful old house)in between,at the mcawber tavern,a nice family feel outside by the creek,coolin down,listening to a muso(bloke)who coud really strum a gat!and give us some nice ballads from inxs,t rex,cold chisel,and a great song from the righteous brothers,youve lost that lovin feelin/down to church to see the flyin saucers,back up the hill again to the mcawber tavern for dinner,with roland,and a friend from brissie,and!of course some dancing to the sounds of the fender benders!just love there repetoire!of hits from the swingin sixties,the rockin fifties!back to the seventies with status quo,etc...oh and dead flowers!(the rolling stones)not a hit back then,but unique,the stones did some great ballads too,like, lady jane,you better move on,angie!and you can count on james to come up with something different,but dancable!and last but not least?moody river!by the great pat boone,another beautiful if sad song i have fond memories of.thanks james.caz,fred and tez for the entertainment,and the straycats,mmmmmm?got me thinkin here,anne and hubby...
