    Frankie of Frankie & the Highlighters appearing at Frankston RSL Saturday 19th May

    Frankie Stevens one of Australia's leading vocalist is back on the loose again. Many people will remember Frankie as the lead vocalist in Frankie and the Highlighters. He was their leader and front man for over 15 years. He and his group were one of the leaders of the 50’s & 60’s rock and roll scene in Melbourne and shared the stage with many Australian and International stars.

    Frankie had guest spots on T.V with the ABC’s Elvis Special on the Peter Couchman Show and Channel 7’s Acropolis Now. He has also performed for the President of the Philippines, The Governor of Guam (US) and the Governor of Saipan. (US) He has also sang for all the major football club’s Including North Melbourne when they won the Grand Final. Frankie was often air played on 6 O’Clock Rock and early in his musical life he shared the stage with the likes of Sam Cook, The Searchers, Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders. and more recently ( 2007 ) was invited to sing for the Kito Awards in Shanghai ( China ) to an audience of over 2,500 people.

    For the past few years Frankie has been performing solo around Australia and Overseas. His show features romantic Ballads, Swing, Jazz and good old Rock & Roll, featuring song’s from all the Greats that Frankie is renowned for like, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra, Buble, Englebert, Tom Jones and many more.

    Frankie also has 20 C.D’s to his credit which are available at his gig’s. If nostalgia is your style, then you can’t go past a night with Frankie Stevens.
