The people from Gippsland have been holding out keeping their great rock'n'roll venues to themselves.

The Downtowner in Warragul is another best kept rock'n'roll secret although it wasn't too much of a secret this last few days as people from all over attended for the weekend's dance activities including folk from as far as Barham.

Dance classes and dances are run regularly in this venue by local dance teacher Rhonda McDonald who also teaches single handedly in other areas such as dance sets for debutante balls and line dancing.
This weekend just gone, Rhonda ran her annual 3 day workshop with the Rockin Daddys entertaining Friday night, dance work shops all day Saturday, a dance with Flashback Saturday night and more dance workshops Sunday morning.

Getting there was easy peasy on the freeway, so if you find yourself looking for somewhere to go that's not too far, add the Downtowner Warragul to your list.
A good sized room comfortable room with a big dance floor, meals and pokies on site and situated roght next to McDonalds in the heart of Warragul.

We've recently had the privelege of attending gigs at Sale, Warragul and shortly we will be in Morwell for another great night I am sure.
