    Re:Guitar Tabs

Tabs are a simplified means of writing music for guitar. instead of traditional dots.

It pin points which finger to place on which string on a particular fret on the guitar by using letters and numbers.

    Re:Guitar Tabs

    Tab is short for tablature.

As Lyndon explains it is a graphic depiction of the top section of a guitar neck as a grid of strings and frets. It is shorthand alternative for those "musicians" who cannot read from the standard music staves.

Try a Google search for "song title"+tabs to see what the system looks like.

As with the web in general some tab sites are excellent and some will pop-up you to distraction.

Lyndon, they tell me that you are mp! :P :P

Time to take the badinage between the musically inclined to a new level.

    Re:Guitar Tabs

As well as being musically challenged, I am also a little thick, funny and always looking for a good joke, regardless of who's expense it might be at. However, ........ I still don't get it.

Moderately soft......Does that mean I need a louder amp Malibu?

I do have a piano RobE, but Kerry is the Maistro in that department and she does read the dots. As I have mentioned before, regardless of what people say, that makes me clever for marrying someone so clever eh!

    hey Jimmy,
you should be able to go to any tab site but a good one is guitarmasta.net. once your there go to the rock genre and then rockabilly or any others and most guitar shops have books you can buy
