    Hi Terrence
    this was the very first song the "Easybeats" recorded....
    their first trip to Melbourne they were staying in a flat in Park St St Kilda, just two doors from my friend, we were lucky enough to get to know them, we used to play footy even got to go to Festival Hall with them,
    wow a lot of memories Terrence
    Id like to know what happened to the bass player Dick?

    This wasnt the first song The Easybeats recorded.

    They had already had hits such as Women, She's So Fine, Sorry, Come and See her and Wedding Ring before they issued thsi one in lat 1966.

    It was No 1 in Melbourne in Janaury 1967.

    I can still recall the "clip" they used to play on Dick Williams' Hit Scene on Channel 2 on Saturday afternoons.

    BeatleFred,

    the first song recorded by the Easybeats was, "For My Woman" recorded in March 1965, the song was chosen by Ted Albert who became their record producer {Albert Productions}
    It wasnt a number one hit,, but it was their very first recording........

    hotrodgirl

    You've brought back so many memories, yeah I was there too, never missed any Yeasybeats Melb concerts, I lived near Festival Hall. The best was at 10th Avenue Disco in Bourke Street, school holidays, 15 years old, hair that would'nt sit straight like yours, and crazy about Stevie Wright.

    Last concert I went to was at Festival Hall on their return from England after Friday on My Mind.

    It wasn't that long ago I donated my Easybeats albums to the Salvos.
