The Satellites originally formed in ‘94 and have performed all over the country leaving a trail of dedicated fans from Brisbane to Adelaide & beyond. They were awarded ‘Best Performing Band’ in 1999, and ‘Best Australian Rockabilly Band’ four years running 1998-2001. Since releasing their debut album ‘Bop Tonight’ in ‘98, the band have gained a huge interest both nationally and overseas. The Satellites’ musical influences stem from all forms of roots music including Country, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Swing, Western Swing, Rock n’ Roll, and of course Rockabilly. The Satellites live act is touted to be a show in its own right, where their performance, stage antics and exuberant spontaneity make it an unforgettable experience.
