After a lapse of two years due to Covid 19, Rock 'n' Suzie held a Good Friday Appeal rock 'n' roll dance in Pakenham with all proceeds going to charity and the Royal Children's Hospital. Close to $8,000 was collected during the event. Over 350 rockers including some very young up and coming ones, turned up to dance for charity. Classic and vintage cars were on display and some 1950's merchandise was available for sale.
Bands that have freely donated their time for the event were the Fender Benders, Honky Tonk Rockers, the Vincents and Carmel & the Black Slacks together with DJ Jeff in attendance spinning music during the band breaks especially for line up dancing.
There was the usual a raffle draw and a guitar action plus Easter Bunny and Sue Dodson were on hand to hand out free Easter chocolates to everyone in the hall. All in all, it was a very good afternoon of great music and dancing all done in the name of charity. Well done everyone!
