With all the dances and dance classes cancelled until this virus leaves, and people stuck at home feeling miserable, here's a few suggestions to keep you occupied.
Watch some dance video's on youtube, turn the music up and dance in your lounge room. Share the clips with your friends or on this site.
Learn some new line dances from youtube. Check out some of the old favorites like "Sylvester strut", "Pennsylvania 65000" or a couple of new ones like "We will rock you" and "Imelda's way". If lots of dancers learn them at home, when the dances start up again we can request them.
Get out in the fresh air and dance around your local park.
Download Zoom and hold virtual catch ups with friends and family. Have a virtual dance with your friends online.
Learn a new skill, (lots of youtube tutorials on all sorts of things) read, chat on the phone, organise all your photos, make an online photo book, read some blogs, keep or start a diary, offer to help your neighbours, make up a care package for a health worker or a now unemployed musician...
Whatever you do, don't let the social distancing get you down and stay positive that we will all get through this together.
Hopefully things will improve in a few months and we can all get back on a dance floor somewhere.
