In the wake of the COVID-19 worldwide crisis, which is affecting almost every aspect of society globally, the Victorian Rock’n’Roll Dance Association has made the decision to postpone the Victorian Rock’n’Roll Dance State Championships, originally scheduled for May 16 at St. Sava in Greensborough, Victoria, with a likely new date of August 22.

We value all of our dancers, teachers and supporters and we want everyone to be safe. We know and appreciate that many competitors, VRRDA officials and supporters have invested significant time, money, energy and enthusiasm into their preparations for the
Championships on 16 May and will be disappointed the championships have been delayed.

We all share in that disappointment. However, the personal health and safety of every
member of the Rock’n’Roll community together with their family and friends must come first.

All monies that have been paid towards the Championships will be held in trust by the VRRDA, and transferred to the new date of the Championships. If circumstances require a refund, please contact the Secretary, Annette Niven, on vrrda_mail@iinet.net.au.

We will obviously keep monitoring the situation, but for the time being, we will be working towards holding the Championships in August. Stay safe!

A Niven
