    Runaway Boys

A Monash debut for the Runaway Boys at the next two-band night - Sat 26th May.
Everyone who was at the Ferntree Gully Hotel for Good Friday knows what they are in store for.

    Re:Runaway Boys

I am looking forward to the May 26th gig with the Runaway Boys & Atomic Hi Tones. The Runaway Boys' debut at the Monash should bring something special for punters who haven't yet seen this band before. Fantastic showmanship plus exciting rockabilly tunes and maybe some psychobilly thrown in as well?

See also my previous posting on the coming gig at Monash below:

Godzilla vs King Kong or call it whatever you like, but it’s on the same scale as the Rumble in Congo (Ali vs George Foreman) or the Thriller in Manila (Ali vs Smokin’ Joe Frazier). Eat your heart out, Don King. Looks like the Jollys out to steal your thunder announcing a mouth watering match up at Monash on 26th May – the Atomic Boys to rumble with the Runaway Boys! It can only mean one thing - a free for all, no holds barred, winner takes all contest in its rawest form.

In the ring in the white corner, arguably one of the hottest and most popular Rockabilly bands in Melbourne – the high octane and high TNT explosive Atomic Hi Tone. And in the red corner is a worthy challenger - the racy, stylish and with all guns blazing the Runaway Boys. If you have seen them splitting the atoms at the Gully’s RCH Charity gig then you know exactly what I saying. The Runaway Boys are not just a high energy Rockabilly-Psychobilly unit, the “Hudson boys” also display amazing showmanship plus qualities on stage. They remind you of the Stray Cats in action but they are also much more than that.

But seriously folks– the Atomic Hi Tones and the Runaway Boys will share top billings at the Monash on 26th May. Expect the bands offering a very different selection of songs and style. Expect the night to give the very best that “true blue” Rockabilly can offer. Expect high Rockabilly fashion– "Pompadoured” Kats in chains and tattoos and Kittens with bright red lipstick and Betty Page hairstyle. Expect a huge night of dancing and socializing. Expect everything and anything, Expect Jitterbug to be there.

    I am excited!

    Talking Re: Runaway Boys

Are you getting excited? Can you feel it? can you feel it ....... Yes! I can definitely feel it in the air!

Clash of the Titans! - Runnaway Boys & the Atomic Boys this Saturday at the Monash.

Hey Maryann - definitely try to get Tggsb to organise some trafiic cops to direct traffic there. Whilst at it, can you please issue out ration cards at the front door to the dancers so people & "sheep dogs" like Jazza, Icon, GAG and RobE don't get to hog the dance floor the whole night long .......

    Thumbs up Re: Runaway Boys

The Nash this Saturday night? … Yeah mate! Like you Jitterbug, I’m also as excited as Big Kev. The shoot-out between Atomic Hi-Tones & Runaway Boys will be a memorable rockabilly spectacular & not to be missed. And if I’m not there Bug, It’s because I’m modifying my truck for Wintersun.
