Interested in trying something different? As a special one off night we will have a beginners square dance class on Sunday 12th Aug at Chatham Primary School, 1 Banool Rd Surrey Hills from 6.30pm.
$10. BYO food and drinks, tea and coffee provided.
Laurina Collyer from Jaybee Square Wheelers in Nottinghill will be teaching and calling some beginners square dancing moves. Square dancing is danced in groups of 4 couples who swap partners and dance different formations that are cued by the caller. The music is a mixture of rock, country and blues and reacting to the calls keeps your mind sharp and the body moving. No previous experience needed. This will also be suitable for your non dancing friends to have a go at.
