MITCHAM RSL has CLOSED

Sadly I have to announce that Mitcham RSL has closed its doors permanently. Thanks to all who supported the venue while it lasted and to the bands that gave us so much good music.

What? The whole RSL has closed or just the Sunday night music? That terrible news. Is there anything we can do to change the descision????

Sadly many Melbourne RSLs are shutting their doors. Business cannot run in "The Red". Same thing happened to The Eidithvale Rsl....Gone

Its a sad day for the bands and the dancers, as well as the RSL members and staff. It was a lovely little venue. I believe James and Cliff are trying to find another venue. Maybe the Box Hill Rsl might be interested as they have a good dance floor and spacious room downstairs, and they tried rock n roll on Fri nights a few years ago. As did Ringwood RSL last year. I hope they are successful in finding a new venue as it's a worry all the dances that are finishing up.

Or perhaps the Clayton rsl which has a large dance floor and already hosting live swing/jazz on sat nights and the occasional Sunday dance. Good parking facility too....

Free entry,drinking,water and +++ is the outcome of this, I don't think $5 entry would stop people from coming and it would help to pay for the entertainment.
