Did ya get it from the USA? I have bought a few things since the Dollar went up in value..
Got me a 13x 7 Tama John Blackwell Sig Snare( a Ripper)- Ludwig Black Beauty 14x 5,and some new in ear stuff, and of course some brass ware, couple of nice K's on the way..
Bout time we got a break, Musical instruments are way. way. over priced in this country. a couple of the guys in the band have even imported valve amps and Guitars at half the price delivered to their door... Eat that Billy Hydes...

Na the snare came from Sydney boom and worked out cheaper than anything i found in the states, they apparently changed the alloy in the snare shells in 1970 or something.
Got some Zildjian A CIE Vintage hats at a quarter of the price as well. Probably going to sell my soundedge 2002's but ive had them 20 plus years so i may just keep em.

Stuff from the states is supercheap, just ordered some puresound wires for 2 of my snares, looking at heads and sticks as well. Your right the price of musical equipment here is bull****. I didnt think Zildjian allowed US dealers to ship them over here or did you buy ebay ?

.... oh boy, I'd love a Ludwig 60's Mod Orange Reissue kit, but from the States the freight is about the same cost of the kit. The actual kit price is cheap. It would go well with my Paiste 602s, I'm a bit of a John Densmore (The Doors) fan, this was his set-up after their second album.
