G'Day. We just got back from Sydney man we had a BALL!!!! Gotta thank John for calling in and Frank and the boys as well. The Clubs in Sydney are FANTASTIC.. The first night we played at The Bankstown Trotting Club. Huge dance floor and a great atmosphere. Up stairs at this Club they have Ballroom Dancing every Friday Night and it has been run by the same bloke for 30 years. As we were playing people were coming down to dance to us. They were doing The Foxtrot! l think, it was anyway? Everyone was just havin a good time. Sat Night we did The Ashfield RSL. Another GREAT PLACE. The DJ was a bloke called Grizzly Adams. Good bloke and knows all about the music scene in Sydney. He plays a wide variety of music and has a big following. Sunday arvo we played at The Cook River Motorboat Club. This place reminded me of The Gully. Except it had views to die for. You look out the front windows to like a little harbor. It was great. Again another good size dance floor. It must because the Ballroom dancers turned up again. It was really cool. Ya playing to all these people dancing and over in one corner of the floor ya got a group of blokes an girls doing a rockabilly dance, then you got everyone else rocknrolling. some others doing a line dance. Then ya have the Ballroom Dancers gliding through the middle of em. It was BLOODY GROUSE!! No one seems to mind, they all just wanna have fun. Then we packed up and headed back to our cabin and on the way the axle broke on our trailer. But we had had such a good weekend even that couldn't bring us down. The reason we went to Sydney for the weekend, was to play for a friend of ours 60th Birthday. Ross Phillips and his wife Sue. We meet them at Wintersun a couple of years ago. He was telling me about 9 months ago that it was his 60th coming up in November and he would love us to play at it. I told him get us 1 and we would be there. He got us 3. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE.....Anyways that was our weekend away. We had a BALLLLLLL.. Thanks Cya Shane
