Re: Jump n Jive at the Gully
Good one Jitterbug, another superb review. Jump & Jive were the main reason why the ‘Gully’ punters had another exceptional afternoon. I must add that drummer Graeme Goss is no slouch on the vocals either. And what about young Ashley on Double Bass who not only looks the part but has a go on lead guitar as well.
The afternoon had a real party feel to it with various muso’s mixing it up on stage. Good friendly stuff to see. Guests included: Dave ’Bolto’ Poulter and young Jake on double bass plus Dave O’ Saucer and the Cliffsta helping out with vocals.
There was a call on a Vicrock post to give Jump & Jive a warm “Rockin’ the Gully” welcome as this was their first gig at the 'G' … well … the number of punters that showed up was phenomenal. You should all be congratulated. The place was chockers!
Jump & Jive were so grateful, especially lead man Sammy who told the crowd how nervous he was to play the FTG Hotel for the first time, even though he’s visited the place on a number of occasions.
By the end of the day, the applause they received, assured Sammy & the boys that they were accepted into the congregation of the “Church of Rock”.
Well done Jump & Jive. You will be back at this venue as the punters demand!
Check out a taste of the day below. Jump & Jive playing a self-penned number by Sammy.
