Passengers on board Spirit of Tasmania will be treated to some shake, rattle and roll as an all singing, all dancing Elvis show takes to the water! The King will set sail as part of the ship’s brand new dazzling array of specially designed themed entertainment nights. For the first time ever, passengers can look forward not only to one of Australia’s greatest journeys, but now also a whole host of entertainment while they travel.
Over the coming months, passengers will be invited to dance the night away with a hot Salsa class, cook up a camp stove treat or laugh their socks off to stand up comedy. There will be something for everyone in the fun filled program of entertainment on offer.
The new special nights are not the only reason for book with Spirit of Tasmania. The service, which operates daily between Melbourne and Devonport, offers passengers the unparalleled freedom to take their own vehicle, as much luggage as they like and even their pets!
We travelled to and from Tassie earlier this year on the spirit, and found it the most boring cruise we have ever been on. Sounds like somebody has used a bit of emagination, this dance type entertainment could enthuse me to travel to Tassie again. It is a great place to see, and there is plenty of rockin' entertainment on that little Apple isle, a dance on the way over could just wet the appertite. Not sure where the dancing could take place on the boat, didn't see any dance floor, but wasn't really looking. It certainly would seem make that 10hr trip go a little faster.
From my experience doing shows, People don't dance it's usually a sit down type of situation where the person putting it on is in fact on show, no dance floor required..
