Ruby's Debut.. It Rocked!!!

Just wanted to say what a fun time we had playing at Rubys last night for the very first time. It was great to see familiar faces come along and a real buzz playing to an entirely new and eclectic crowd of people who danced to our music even though they admitted to us they'd never really got into country music. Many of them were all line dancing by the end of our sets LOL.

But it was a bloody pleasure to have shared the night with Ignition. It was the first time I'd seen them live and man what a band. I sat there in awe of these guys. Great sound, great choice of songs. Its impressive enough to see muso's swap instruments but when they do swap, they play REALLY F^$#&^ GOOD! The music scene is really going to benefit by having Ignition around the traps. Great stuff!

Congrats to Siobhan and the Ruby's crew for setting up Saturday nights for Country/Rockabilly. Its a cool place to play and we look forward to our next gig on the 17th May. Rubys serves as a great addition to the venues who support the music we love.

Hey there Bassthumper ,

It was an absolute pleasure sharing the night with the Prairie Oysters .. I have to say the absolute best country band I have heard in a long long time .

The venue was great.. It’s a cosy environment with a great mixture of people, Rockabilly, Country and general music lovers from a mixture of age groups.

Thanks to Siobhan and the entire staff at Ruby’s for making it such a pleasure to play there. We had an absolute blast and look forward to the next one.

I have to agree with both Tony & Dave....... It was a great night at Ruby's last Saturday!!!

I would like to thanks both The Prairie Oysters & Ignition for a fantastic night of music, it sounded great and set a really good atmosphere through out the venue.

It was good to see familiar faces in the crowd supporting the bands & Ruby's......... Thanks to all of you! It was also really good to see other people enjoying the music & having a bit of a boogie.

Ruby's will be holding it's next Rockabilly/Country night on Saturday 17th May with The Prairie Oysters & The flying Saucers.
