Thumbs Up For Variety at the Micawber

I really enjoyed Sunday evening at the Micawber, with the Atomic Hi-Tones playing while the Straight 8s had the night off. Variety is always good.

It was like a Vic Rock reunion, as well as Mel (our spiritual leader) I spotted FIGJAM, Malibu, Whem, Essex, Utopia, Cash and Jazza. There were probably more Forum Members at the gig, but they are still keeping a low profile.

Any time you get the chance tell Johnno (he looks like Billy Thorpe) and the other Micawber staff how much you enjoyed having another Sunday night band and suggest that they start booking different acts more often.

Ditto that RobE. Good to see Johnno (Billy) up there playing with the band. Seemed to really enjoy himself. B)

It took some talking, and much pleading to bring Johnno around. The change of band was fantastic. Cliff and the boys as always gave 150%. Well done to the ROCKIN' HI-TONE DADDYS . A huge thankyou to all that came and enjoyed the fun atmostphere, I to spotted some of the VICROCK members and I must say I sooooo miss seeing you all now that the Gully has finished. Thanx for the Dance Whem and Mel, hope to catch you all very soon.

    It was a great session.

I get the printed Micawber gig guide in the mail. It is a lost promotional activity that all the performances are not listed in Vic Rock too.

I think we all would like to see more events in the VicRock guide covering different venues and bands. However these other places have to pass the information on to Mel - I am sure he would include them if they did.

Perhaps they should put him on their mailing list
