Don't ya love You Tube.
Check this clip. Jimi Hendrix in 1965 in the Royal Company backing two guys singing "shotgun". Suit. Almost straight hair. Choreographed band moves. Plus a brief flash of Jimi playing forearm over the strings.
Also dig the "stars" Buddy & Stacey. They look whiter than Michael Jackson. Hey, arn't those arm actions the precursor of Macarena?

Then drift off into the "Related Videos". Especially Jimi and the Experience in the 1969 Lulu Show clip from the Old Grey Whistle Test- Voodoo Chile. "I'm standin' next to a mountain." Plus Lulu intro-ing Hey Joe. I love the bit where he slackens a string and looks coy about it. He finishes with a Sunshine of Your Love tribute to Cream (or is it a challenge?).
