    Thumbs Up for Drummers

The Penny Rockets could have used a real drummer for their gig at Little Maria's.

For my tastes they just seemed a bit plastic, a bit too Top 40.

I suppose I do not expect to see a midi band at a Classic Rock dance.

Before I say this, please everybody, I am not implying anything by this statement, but I'm with Malibu by expressing my personal opinion without even having seen Penny Rockets.

    "Thumbs Down for Boom Boom".

It suddenly dawned on me that while he thinks his hands are great, he is now starting to believe that he can, actually, play the drums!!!! Next we will have to have a forum posting headed up.."My Wildest Dreams"

Good one Boom Boom, you nearly had me fooled..

Hey Lyndon, speaking of pots, kettles and degrees of blackness, perhaps you should take Boom Boom to Phillip Island with you the next time you go to jam with the Shedows. B) (Now aren't I ashamed for such a cheap shot!)

How about if we give drummers versus musicians a break for a while?

How about harmonica players? I fondly remember a psyched up Rock Bottom James getting ready to go on at the Growling Dog, strapping his special harp holder belt on, upside down, and all the harps tumbling out and bouncing behind foldbacks, amps, stands and peddles.

    Re:Thumbs Up for Drummers

No1 Thank you RobE for your thoughts but honestly i wouldn't go anywhere with someone i was gonna give a lesson in music too because my music vocabulary Goes beyond 3 chords and yes there are 16th over 32nd notes, some might regard it as fly droppings on lined paper but when the flag drops the bull#hit stops

As far as harp players go.. Err whats a harp player is it a veiled woman playing a D shaped instrument or simply a Miller shirt wearing bloke from somewhere who playes over everyone ALL THE TIME! Only Jokin jimmy I'd work with ya in a flash mate knowing your extensive knowledge of music would be a delight to be part of, But i already got a Ripper gig so um.... :P This is my final drummer posting as its getting a bit tired..
