    Thumbs up "Nash"-ville City Limits

    Hi All
Well it was another "standing room only" night at The "Nash" last night. What a blast to be entertained by not just one, but FOUR fantastic bands. First up was Louis King with his mix of blues and swing sure to get dancers in the groove; then the "mystery" band, who turned out to be "Hard Wired", pumping out some great rockin covers, followed by Straight 8's revving up the speed and keeping feet tappin and skirts twirling. And last but not least, the fabulous Prairie Oysters kept punters full of pre-Christmas cheer with their blend of country/rock. Nobody wanted them to stop, and they very obligingly kept on playing till 1 am. Particularly enjoyed their renditions of Eagles "Heartache tonight" and the ZZ Top tribute (complete with beards and reverse caps hehe) to "Sharp dressed man". Absolutely fantastic!! I didn't get off the dance floor all night...and it was great to catch up with some very familiar faces, have a festive bubbly, and laugh.
Thanks to all involved for making the night so great for so many....
Have a MERRY, SAFE & ROCKIN' Christmas everyone!!!

Thanks for your comments MsM. It was great to see you and so many people at the Nash. The 180 strong crowd was awesome. The rain and wintery conditions certainly didnt deter people from packing the joint out. Everyone was there to have a good time and the vibe at Dooleys was really up! It was great to see so many younger people there too getting up and rockin out with the experienced dancers. It was a real mixed crowd who just wanted to keep going... We were buggered after that 80 minute set LOL.

Thanks to all who attended and to the Monash crew. Looking forward to reopening the Nash in 2008 on the 19th January.

    Cool Re: "Nash"-ville City Limits

It was indeed a great night down at "The Nash". Big crowd, Great music, dancing, good company..thanks to the organisers for letting mystery band, Hardwired, sneak a set in. Live music is alive and well in old Melbourne town. Merry Christmas.
