Re: Shadoogie & Guest @ Freeway Rock - Saturday 1st December

On behalf of Shadoogie I’d like to give a big thank you to all the people who supported Freeway Rock last Saturday night. Your enthusiasm was much appreciated. Another big thanks to Frankie Stevens for doing a guest spot and really belting out some great numbers. In the late 80s early 90s Frankie was playing in Frankie and the Highlighters while I was busy singing with the Vincent’s. It was great to finally see Frankie perform. The audience was also treated to an on the spur of the moment performance by Margaret Cook from the Cookies fame who wowed the crowd and showed she is still a fantastic singer and performer, we even had Ray the door man to get up on stage and really surprise us with yet more talent. The dedicated parking area was filled with many classic cars including Mainlines, Customlines, bikes and Cadillac’s It was a hard decision who should be awarded the coolest ride but finally the decision was given to a beautifully restored very straight 65 Mustang Convert. As the last three dances have been a sell out , Id advise you to book early for our next Freeway Rock on Saturday February the 2nd. Thanks also to the Harrows Show band loved the duel sax solos.

    Billy.
