For those Vic Rock readers who are looking for a venue closer to the city, The Flyin' Saucers will be playing at the Drunken Poet (opposite the Vic Market at No.65 Peel Street) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm this Sunday 12.08.07.
At the Drunken Poet there's always something entertaining going on, and now they're adding good old rockabilly and rock 'n' roll to their list with live bands every other Sunday afternoon.
A great little Irish pub, authentic and comfy as they come, the Drunken Poet is a no-bull peoples pub.
The drinks are inexpensive with a variety of other tap beers, a range of bottle beers, a good wine list, and all the usual (and some not-so-usual) spirits.
Siobhan has the best menu toasted sandwiches, Tayto's, Snacks & Chipsticks.
The pub attracts a fairly large crowd of punters and regulars, who come in to relax, recharge, socialise, drink and be merry in a thoroughly unpretentious atmosphere.
