International Double Bill: *** ONLY VICTORIAN GIG - WEDNESDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2007 ***

Lynwood Slim (USA) and Big Joe Louis (UK) - "Playin' Up A Storm - Downunder 2007" Tour

By popular demand Lynwood Slim (USA) is returning to Australia for the 4th time and touring on a new album "Last Call" - his finest to date! Slim's mastery of blues harmonica - both the "little harp" and the more difficult chromatic - is second to none. He is also one of the finest blues/swing vocalists of his generation. The album exhibits Slim's knack for writing strong and classy original lyrics and his deep love of swinging jazz and blues. Lynwood is a world acclaimed, widely respected and in demand musician who has been a featured artist on recordings by Junior Watson, Kid Ramos, Dave Specter, R.L. Burnside and many more. Powerhouse vocals and dynamic harp - Lynwood is the complete entertainment package. Touring with Lynwood from Belgium, the fabulous Marc 'Tee' Thijs on guitar.

As part of this international double bill and touring downunder for the first time, Big Joe Louis. Born in Jamaica he moved to Britain in the 1970's where he formed his band The Blues Kings. Playing tracks from his cracking Big Sixteen album, Australian audiences will enjoy wonderfully evocative, exciting vocals and incredible slide guitar work. Check him out at www.bigjoelouis.com

Dedicated to a style and feel long gone, Yugon Chobanoff's vintage style drumming (he's been described as a cross clone between Gene Krupa and Freddie Below), together with bassman extraordinaire Hans Deberitz on upright and electric bass, combine to deliver a powerfully authentic, kick butt rhythm section.

A strictly limited tour - DON'T MISS OUT!!! Grab your dancin' shoes and get ready for a swingin' celebration of rhythm and blues .... catch them live at their ONLY Victorian show:

Wed 3rd Oct - The East Brunswick Club, East Brunswick, VIC

Box Office Ph: 9388 9794 or online at www.eastbrunswickclub.com
