FOSSIL ROCK Ė So named because we ainít exactly spring chickens any more. But what we are is a trio of seasoned and experienced musicians who have been around since the explosion of rhythm and blues music in the 60ís. We were just teenagers then but the dynamics of that exciting time has never left us. Our extensive repertoire of great toe tapping music draws from that era and even earlier. The 40ís and 50ís launched the jump blues and swing era, and it is from this that rock and roll was born. FOSSIL ROCKíS eclectic style draws heavily on pre rock and roll jump blues and swing genres with a little early rock and roll thrown in for good measure. Our motto is ďIF IT AINíT TOE TAPPINí. IT AINíT USĒ . John Walton is on guitar, and with bassist Ian Bertram and percussionist Artie Shug providing that engine room of rhythm, we aim to leave you with an unforgettable and nostalgic experience of authentic bluesand swing the way it was meant to be played.
