What a great night of rock & roll music and dancing last night at the Hungarian Community Club in Wantirna when Flipside hosted Adelaide's "Teddy Boy" R&R band, the Lincolns. It was a full house with the gig booked out a fortnight ago. There were quite a few disappointed fans who missed out on a ticket to attend the dance.
The Lincolns are no strangers to Melbourne's live music scene having played a number of gigs here in the last 2 to 3 years. The band has featured regularly in the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival as well as in various country Victoria R&R dance festivals. Quite obviously, the band has a huge band of loyal followers in Victoria, and deservedly so. Rockers just love dancing to their special brand of English "Teddy Boy" style R&R music.
There's always a special vibe when a large dance hall is packed with dancers. It was no different last night at the Hungarian Club. Yes, dance space was at a premium but all had a great time sharing the dance floor.
Well done to the Linclons and Flipside keeping Melbourne rockin' all night....
