Thumbs up Jackson Four at the Simba'r

We really enjoyed the inaugural Swinging Sunday at the Simba'r in Hughesdale.

The Jackson Four are a talented well balanced combo with a mellow, sort of Georgie Fame, groove. Sax and a Hammond, drums, vocals and percussion how could we miss?

As the name suggests there is a distinct Swing emphasis but it is all very danceable.

The Simba'r has a sort of African theme. It is funky enough without going overboard. The polished concrete floor is fine for dancing. There is space for six couples to dance comfortably.

It was an acceptable $10 to get in. Drink prices were not too bad.

    We will definitely go again.

Re: Jackson Four at the Simba'r

Thanks RobE for the kind comments. The Jackson Four, event managers - Fabulous Events and Entertainment and the owners of Simba'r Jennifer and John are working together to make these events a long running success.

We're always open to suggestions for improvements and our first priority will be to open up the dance floor area even more to get the right balance of floor space to seating. Early days yet, but very positive feedback from all who attended.

Those who's first time it was visiting Simba'r thought the venue a great find.
