Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers Dance
Turned out to Strathfieldsaye Sports Club on Saturday night for the Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers dance. Great venue – all set up & decorated for about 180 rockers. Nice big dance floor. The Speedsters set up on stage with the ever popular DJ Flash on the edge of the dance floor, & Gorgeous Gear out in the foyer with their clothing & shoes to sell. People started arriving from about 7:30pm & the air was quite brisk outside, but inside they were warming up to Flash’s music.
8:00pm came. the Speedsters fired up & the dance floor filled very quickly and stayed that way all night – the band was ‘on song’ & fantastic all night.…It was a sellout night. In one of the band breaks a troop of charming Gals all dressed up in their Country Line Dance gear gave us a floor show of a well choreographed line dance routine.
Most entertaining…& different…well done Gals. We also had the pleasure of helping Flash celebrate his 70th birthday, & still going strong …Happy Birthday Flasherrrr. And then came Supper, Raffle & more dancing.
Suddenly it was 12:00 & the night was over….all too quick.
