We, along with 100 - 110 rockers turned up at Benalla last Saturday night to Rose City Rockers dance only to find that a BIG festival was happening, with lots of cars and the odd road closure, but once there we all had a great night.

A few less people meant a lot more room on the floor to dance to a Melbourne band called "Moonlighters" that I hadn't heard before but hope to hear again. Two guitars, a bass and drums gave a nice Rock and Roll sound just like the old days. Quite a number of dancers agreed with me on that. The tempo was varied from Rockabilly to a quite moderate tempo for old buggers like me. Thanks to Mark, Geoff, Les and Jeff for a good night.

As usual the supper was superb and the raffle prizes were as good as one would see anywhere. I should know as I won one at the last Rose City Rockers dance and could barely carry it to the car. We only just claimed the fuel and pizza vouchers this week.

Thanks again Rose City Rockers. See y'all next time.
