Australian South East Rock "n" Roll Championships

Congratulations to the Westcoast Rockers for the success of their 15th Annual Australian South East Rock ‘n’ Roll Championship in Geelong on Saturday night.
Patronised from Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Colac and Bendigo, spectators watched enthralled as competitors delighted the audience with their well timed moves and energetic maneuvers across the dance floor. As far as the audience was concerned all competitors were winners and deserved a gold trophy but a great outcome and congratulations to members of the Alley Catz’s with the heralded catch phrase “Go Cats – Alley Catz” who cleaned up in the winner’s circle.
Entertainment was by the Speedsters in between the heats with the crowd needing no encouragement to get up on the floor and show that we too have some of those competition winning dance moves.
Thank you to Elver and Robyn Cooper for your hard work and dedication in putting on this event and ensuring that Rock and Roll dancers in the South East have an opportunity to shine and excel.

Well said Starshine! It was an amazing night with multiple heats in both the Golden Era and Open event. Elva, Robin and all their team are to be congratulated on the excellent organization and running of the event. Also, congratulations and well done to all the new competitors who had never competed before, as well as Chevrons for taking out 1st Place in the Senior Triples. Go Chevrons!
