Once again, a gorgeous day for a very successful Rock’n’Rodz Fund Raiser in Tassie. A job well done by the crew behind the event.

Imagine a country fair with Hot Rods, punky pinups and tattooed bodies peppering a throng of car enthusiast, the general public and families. Many are right into dressing in theme with bit of a leaning towards the kustom kulture side of things. Leather, skull art and old school tattoos with 40’s chic, polka dots, 10 inch high patent leather shoes seems to appeal to younger devotees and rock and roll defectors.
The rock’n’roll look was over shadowed some what with youthful enthusiasm.
The crowd was very appreciative of the bands, the burlesque routines, the fashion parade, the tattoo competitions and the display of cars.
Lots of food choice, entertainment for the kids and merchandise.
We ran into mainland vendors who had trekked to the event to check it out for future attendance with their wares. Indicative of the rising profile of this top event.
The boat makes it possible to bring over hot rods and stock and the cheap air makes it very affordable for a weekend away.

An account of the Rock’n’Rodz event cannot omit the activities of the night before at the Country Club Hotel. A real gathering place and watering hole for a mixture of age groups. A top night out.

Ink your diary folks for next year. Fly down Friday night (Jetstar or Virgin) and home Sunday night. You wouldn’t miss a second of work and you'dhave a weekend of fun to talk about for months).
