The loud, thumping, dancing music began at Barooga Sporties Club on Friday night where "THE FENDER BENDERS" were playing to start a great weekend of dancing. There were hundreds in attendance – sadly, mostly for the raffles. One has to feel for a band when a majority of the people are there just for the raffles, but there were quite a few that were there for the 'music, not the money'.
All the usual suspects turned up, from Cobram, Albury, Yarrawonga, Shepparton and no doubt folk from places that I didn't know and we had one hell of a night. Thanks for the music guys, we don't want the stinking money.

Next night the action was at Shepparton where "ITCHY FINGERS" continued the weekend of thumping good music at the Shepp Youth Club dance. About 150 dancers from all over the place were in attendance again from all over Northern Victoria and southern NSW. There were the stalwarts from Shepparton, Cobram, Benalla, Albury, Tongala and a surprise and welcome visit from Seymour Rock and Roll club.
Jenny and Ken Croft (sorry for misspelling your name last week guys) and a team of her students gave a demo of a routine that they are working on and as usual a fantastic supper was provided. Our thanks to all the folk who brought it.
Finally a big thanky you to Dom and the rest of the band, Tony, Rob and Damien. None of us could do it without the people who provide the fabulous music.
